Spring Break Recess and Exciting Capital Project Update

Dear Mechanicville School Community,

As we approach spring break, I want to take a moment to wish you all a restful and rejuvenating time. Spring break is an opportunity for everyone to recharge, enjoy quality time with loved ones, and return ready to tackle the final stretch of the school year.

Important Reminders:

    • There will be no school on Monday, April 8th. Enjoy the day off!
    • We will resume our regular schedule on Tuesday, April 9th.

Exciting News: Capital Project Site Work Begins! We are thrilled to announce that the site work phase of our capital project is officially underway. Our focus will begin with the current bus garage located at the front of the campus. Here are some key points:

  1. Staging and Preparation
    • Machinery and equipment are already being staged on-site.
    • Fencing materials have been delivered and are ready for installation.

  1. Upcoming Activities:

    • Next week, excavation of the designated area will commence.
    • Demolition of the existing building will follow shortly after.

  1. Minimal Impact on Programming and Building Access:

    • Rest assured that this construction work will not disrupt our daily programming or building access during the spring semester.
    • Safety measures are in place to ensure a smooth transition.

  1. A Long-Awaited Milestone:

    • The planning for this final phase of our project has been meticulous, and we are excited to see it come to fruition.
    • Our campus will continue to evolve, becoming even more future-ready.

As we embark on this stage of work, let’s remain united in our commitment to providing an exceptional learning environment for our students. Thank you for your ongoing support, and I look forward to seeing you all back on campus on Tuesday, April 9th.

Wishing you a wonderful spring break!
