Dear Mechanicville Community,

We wish to provide you with an update regarding the ongoing emergency remediation project aimed at addressing the deteriorating condition of the drainage system on the west side of campus and the ES roadway between the elementary and junior-senior high schools.

Upon conducting thorough testing of the roadway through boring, it has been determined that additional measures are necessary to ensure the long-term viability of the road surface. While successful progress has been made in remediating the drainage issue, it has become evident that addressing the roadway itself requires further testing and engineering options to avoid exacerbating the current condition even further.

We will continue to patch and fill the most critical areas of concern on the roadway to maintain its functionality in the short term and work to find solutions to address the roadway properly and avoid any further deterioration.  We will send an update this upcoming week with next steps.

We recognize the importance of ensuring the safety and functionality of campus infrastructure, and we are committed to finding a sustainable long-term solution for the ES roadway. In the meantime, we appreciate your patience and understanding as we navigate this process.
