Please welcome Clara Bisaillon to our District. Clara began her career in student transportation in 2012 as a Bus Monitor with the Scotia-Glenville Central School District. Driven by a desire to expand her industry knowledge and pursue a career behind the wheel, she earned a Commercial Driver’s License (CDL) in 2013 and transitioned into the role of a school bus driver.
Committed to professional growth and safety excellence, Clara spent three years driving before pursuing advanced qualifications. By 2018, she successfully became a School Bus Driver Instructor and a New York State 19-A Certified Examiner.
During the unprecedented challenges of the COVID-19 pandemic, Clara stepped up to serve as the Acting Transportation Supervisor for Scotia-Glenville CSD and was officially appointed Permanent Transportation Supervisor in 2022. In Mechanicville, she will continue to ensure the safe and efficient transportation of students while mentoring and developing the district’s transportation staff. Clara will start her new position in mid-September. In the interim, Mike Pratt, who recently retired, will stay on through the summer.
