The Mechanicville City School District is governed by a seven member school board elected by the qualified voters of the School District.​ This year we will have two vacancies, each will be a three year term, commencing on July 1, 2026 and ending on June 30, 2029.

Board of Education nominating petitions are now available for Mechanicville CSD residents interested in running for an open seat on the school board. Petitions may be obtained in the District Office from 8:00 am – 3 pm, Monday through Friday. Completed Nominating Petitions packets are due to​ the District Clerk by 5:00 p.m. on April 29, 2026.
