Hello Red Raiders!  The Mechanicville City School District is gathering interest in a 4 year old Pre-K program at Mechanicville Elementary School. The program will be contingent on state funding released in April 2022.  A child must be 4 by Dec. 1 of the enrolling school year in order to qualify for a pre-K 4 program and must reside in the Mechanicville City School District. Upon funding allocations additional details and lottery information will be forthcoming.

Please note that pre-K 4 registration is a two part process to be completed when funding is awarded to Mechanicville City School District. We will be using a lottery system to determine which families receive a slot for the pre-k 4 program.

Step 1: Apply for a seat

Once you have completed an application via google, the district will send an official notification by email to the e-mail addresses you provided. You will receive one of two letters: an acceptance letter or a waiting-list letter.

Step 2: Accept an awarded seat and register

If you are awarded a seat and receive an acceptance letter, you must then register your child to officially accept the seat you have been offered.
