I’m writing this letter to share with you upcoming opportunities to discuss and ask questions regarding our districts plans for return.
There is a consensus of dismay with the governors language regarding school district plans for return in general. Personally I’m disappointed with his divisive language and want to reassure you that we are in this together. To that end....
I understand that there is no perfect plan, as there are so many unknowns as we attempt to do what we have never done before. I pledge to you we are doing our absolute best, using recommendations from experts for both safety and instruction.
We have, and promise to continue with honest and transparent communication. We have partnered with our union leadership, held an all staff meeting prior to going public with our plan, and have held two community forums.
This week we will continue to do this. There are four open dialogue, Q & A sessions scheduled: Monday @ 5:30 for parents and community members Tuesday @ 12:00 for all staff members Tuesday @ 3:00 for parents and community members Tuesday @ 5:30 for parents and community members
There are links to these virtual meetings on our website and Facebook page.
We can not do this without the partnership of parents, faculty and staff. We will get through this together. I assure you, your school district is ready to meet this unprecedented challenge to educate and support learners in person and at home!
