2019-2020 End of Year Chromebook Collection & Procedures
To all Mechanicville City School District Parents,
At the end of the 2018-2019 school year the IT department will be performing important maintenance on all chromebooks. Please see the appropriate instructions below for your students grade level.
The Tech Services department will be doing a mandatory collection of 6th grade and 7th grade chromebooks at the end of the 2018-2019 school year for important maintenance. Teachers will be collecting Chromebooks in their 1st period classes between June 20th and June 26th. We will not be collecting cases.
Chromebooks will be re-issued to your student at the beginning of the 2019-2020 school year. Please note, It is your student’s responsibility to have their case with them when they return for the 2019-2020 school year.
Mechanicville parents can request their student be allowed use of district owned and issued Chromebooks throughout the summer rather than return the device to be re-issued in the Fall. This requires that a parent or guardian complete and submit the electronic form below.
Students in grades 7 through 11 will be allowed to keep their chromebooks for the summer. If a student needs service or repair, they can obtain a chromebook repair form at the below link or from their 1st period teachers. If a student does not wish to keep the Chromebook over the summer months, they can be drop it off in the Distance Learning Lab. The Chromebook will be returned to the student in their 1st period class at the beginning of the 2019-2020 school year.
Seniors are allowed to keep their Chromebooks upon graduation. If they do not wish to keep them, they can be returned to the Distance Learning Lab until June 26th.
