Sports Physiology students tour athletic facilities at University at Albany

imageMay 25, 2017- High school students in the Sports Physiology class recently got a first-hand look at what sports are like at the collegiate level.

On Friday, May 19, the class had the opportunity to meet with University at Albany Director of Sports Medicine Jay Gieger.

During their visit, the class toured the athletic fields and training facilities, learned about different careers in sports medicine, and talked about what life is like as a student-athlete at the collegiate level.

“I thought this was an amazing experience and it made me want to consider a career in this field for my future,” sophomore Taylor Grayson said. “I would love to work with student-athletes in the future.”

“I enjoyed seeing the UAlbany athletic fields and learning about how they treat different injuries,” sophomore Quinn Gowett added. “It was a really great experience.”
