  • Fourth and fifth graders compete in Battle of the Books

    June 21, 2017-  The end of the year Battle of the Books event took place on Tuesday, June 20. More than two dozen fourth and fifth graders competed in teams in a Jeopardy-style "book battle." The students read a variety of different books since January in order to prepare for the event. See full Facebook album here

  • Fourth graders become published authors

    June 27, 2017-  Students in Mrs. Glass' fourth grade class can now say they are published authors!  Each student wrote a research papers on a famous historical figures or a historical event. They then submitted their papers to a publishing company and had their writing and illustrations published.  Parents and family members were invited into the classroom and the students got

  • Fourth and fifth graders take part in 13th Annual Environmental Field Day

    May 11, 2017 Mechanicville fourth and fifth graders took part in the 13th annual Environmental Field Day on Wednesday, May 10. The event took place at the 4-H Training Center in Ballston Spa. The students participated in 28 different stations where they could learn about things like owls, a search-and-rescue dog, how to fight fire wildfires, basic safety and survival tips, and how to

    May 10, 2017- More than a dozen fifth graders from Mechanicville Elementary were recognized on Monday, May 8 at the 32nd Annual Sandra G. Morley Physical Education Student Leadership Awards Program.
