Fourth Grade Math-a-Thon

Fourth grade students participated in the St. Jude's Children Research Hospital Math-a-Thon in December 2009. This annual event proved highly successful once again as the students raised $1,800 during the three-week math-a-thon. Various mathematical concepts were presented for the students to complete and sponsors contributed for each correct problem. The students were eager and excited to learn that they could help other children while practicing their math at the same time. The generous spirit of the Mechanicville community continues to support research in finding a cure for many childhood cancers and blood disorders.
