I would like to start out my first address to thank the community, staff, parents, and especially the students for making my transition to Mechanicville High School smooth and seamless.  I look forward to continuing on our path to facilitate the success of all of our students.  The road that we take, however, is not straight; there will be twists and turns along the way and perhaps a few dead ends as well, but this will not deter us from reaching our destination. 

My first priority for this semester is to focus primarily on communication from both our school to the home, as well as from the home to the school and the transparency of the educational process.  As we progress through our time together, I hope to bring new ideas that open the doors for parents and students to be informed of their current educational status throughout their high school years.  I will also look to focus on accountability at all levels in order to ensure that all of us are working to maximize the education of our students, enabling them to get the most out of their time at MHS, all the while learning the valuable skills, morals and ethics needed to ensure their success during their high school years and beyond. 

Any feedback or suggestions will always be welcomed and appreciated from any members of the community – Parents, students, or any stakeholder of our district.  The closer that we can all work together, the better we will serve our students.  As we head into this new decade, new challenges await and the future remains cloudy.  We must work to prepare our students to face these challenges and teach them how to open the doors of opportunities that await them as they enter the world after graduation.
