Welcome!

Our Mechanicville Elementary Library is a large, bright, welcoming room that is well-stocked with books, magazines, videos, and recorded books.  We have over 25,000 volumes.  Our Library has a mini lab consisting of 12 computers and a Smart Board.  Our sunken story area with its colorful beanbags, pillows and stuffed animals is our students' favorite area for listening, reading and sharing.

Kindergarten and Grade 1 visit the library weekly for story and library skill classes. Grades 2-5 are scheduled for classes every other week for stories and information skills.  All students may also come to the library individually or in small groups to work on projects or exchange books between scheduled visits.

The Mechanicville Elementary Library is an integral part of our students' school day.

Be sure to take a look at the new Librarian Page!
